New Year’s Eve 2012

Ring in the New Year with your family and friends at Portofino Island Resort.  Join your friends and neighbors and the staff at the Lifestyle Center to bid farewell to 2011 and welcome 2012 in grand style. Celebrate with a festive dinner or buffet; enjoy live music and dancing with party band 2nd Coming while your kids enjoy a pint-sized party planned just for them. Then, everyone comes together to welcome 2012 with a dazzling fireworks display over the beautiful Santa Rosa Sound.  The band will play from 9pm ‘til 12am and the fireworks display is scheduled to begin at the stroke of midnight.  To minimize the impact of the celebration on those who choose to celebrate in a more subdued manner, every effort will be made to contain the festivities to the Lifestyle Center.  Terracotta is serving New Years Eve Dinner from 5:30pm-9pm (Reservations required) and the cost is $65 per person. Terrazzo is serving New Years Eve Buffet from 5:30pm-9pm (Reservations required) and the cost is adults $50 / children $18 (12 and under).  Additionally, Terracotta will be serving a New Orleans Brunch on 1/1 from 11am-3pm adults $32 /children $16 (12 and under).

Property Security

Recently, Portofino has experienced a moderate increase of instances of vandalism and theft from vehicles as well as some theft from storage areas.  While Courtesy Patrol has stepped up efforts to eliminate these occurrences, your association asks for your assistance by making sure your vehicles are locked when parked and items of value are removed or placed out plain sight.  You may also wish to check your storage cage lock for good measure.  In order to help minimize these happenings, your Association asks for your help by reporting all suspicious activity or conditions to the Courtesy Patrol at the Gatehouse by dialing 916-3805 or *10 from your unit telephone.

2012 Owner Identification Cards

Beginning January 2nd, 2012, your new 2012 Owner ID cards will be available for issue during regular HOA business hours of 8:30-4:30 Mon-Sat.  Like last year, your 2011 ID cards will remain active and valid until April 15, 2012.  After April 15th your 2011 ID cards will automatically expire and you will be required to obtain your 2012 ID card to gain access to the Lifestyle Center, tower pool and if you use an electronic lock, your unit.  Your 2012 vehicle decals are on order and should be available for application in January.

Oral Arguments- Tax Litigation
